Medical Licensing and Registration system in the GULF (Bahrain)

HOW TO OBTAIN MEDICAL LICENSE IN BAHRAIN

(QCHP) The Registration & Licensing Department in Qatar Council for H​ealthcare. The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) regulates the provision of healthcare in Bahrain.

NHRA is responsible for implementation and development of health regulations in both governmental and private sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This involves regulatory procedures related to licensing health care facilities including; hospitals, medical centres, private clinics, centers for allied health professionals, pharmaceutical centres; as well as licensing health care professionals within these facilities.

The Department of Health care Professionals Regulations manages the registration and licensing, and renewal of license for all practicing health professionals in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

As of March 20, 2017, the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) of Bahrain has tied up with the DataFlow Group to implement Primary Source Verification (PSV) for all non-Bahraini applicants. You would need to get your documents verified with DataFlow or TrueProfile.io first before applying for your license.

The following documents are required for new license applications:

 

1. Offer letter from prospective employer.
2. Dataflow report: (Verification of ALL qualifications, full experience, and license).
3. Good standing certificate from licensing authority of last country of practice (should not be older than 6 months).
4. Curriculum Vitae (CV).
5. Copy of attested education certificate.
6. Copy of valid passport.
7. Passport size photo with white background.
8. Application submission fees 20 BD.

All documents must be translated to English (Legal Translation).
